A Glimpse into Cyber Security
Students build empathy around the concept of cyber security by learning about different types of data categories and by conducting research into how cyber security is addressed globally. Students to learn and apply concepts for creating effective account passwords, converting decimal data strings to binary strings, creating simple programs, and basic encryption. The unit culminates in a design challenge where students design, build, and test a model of a device that can safely transmit data through the application of multiple layers of encryption and patterns.
Kit includes: Materials for at least 20 students to complete one unit -- Tubes, Foam, Corks, CD's, CD inserts, Food containers, Stir sticks, Plastic scraps, Cups, Gameboards, Address Labels, Stickers, Binder clips, Microtubes and more! NOTE: Quantity and materials may vary.
